The Town of Parker's "Branching Out Parker" program is offering up to $300 in reimbursement toward planting a new tree in the yard of your Parker home!
The deadline for application is June 9th, 2017.
Step 1: Submit your application here.
You will need:
**To apply, prepare your attachments (see above) and submit electronically here. If you don't already have an account, at the very top of the page, select 'Set up Account'. Once you are in your account, select 'Apply/Register' in the 'Permits/Registry' box. Select the 'Branching Out Parker' permit from the drop down menu. All attachments can be uploaded at the bottom of the page. You will receive a confirmation email once your application is approved. After your tree(s) are planted, upload your receipt in the same way.
Step 2: Buy Your Tree!
Once a letter of acceptance is received, purchase a tree from the recommended tree species list (PDF), from vendors, licensed nurseries or landscape contractors located within the Town limits (PDF). It is the applicant’s responsibility to coordinate with their vendor regarding tree installation and comply with any requirements and/or conditions of their HOA. RECEIPTS DATED PRIOR TO THE ACCEPTANCE LETTER WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR REIMBURSEMENT.
Step 3: Plant Your Tree!
Step 4: Inspection & Reimbursement
If purchased from vendors, licensed nurseries or landscape contractors located within the Town limits (PDF), the actual tree cost including installation will be reimbursed through the Branching Out program up to $300 or 50%, whichever is less. Trees purchased and installed from vendors located outside the Town limits will be reimbursed up to $260, or 40%, whichever is less. See examples below:
- Tree(s) purchased from vendor within the Town limits (PDF)
$400 cost for tree at 50 percent reimbursement = $200 reimbursement from the Town.
$800 cost for tree(s) at 50 percent reimbursement = $300 maximum reimbursement from the Town.
- Tree(s) purchased from vendor outside the Town
$400 cost for tree at 40 percent reimbursement = $160 reimbursement from the Town.
$800 cost for tree(s) at 40 percent reimbursement = $260 maximum reimbursement from the Town.
To receive reimbursement, trees must be purchased and planted and a copy of the paid receipt, along with a copy of the approval letter must be emailed to Erik Stadsvold or mailed to:
Town of Parker / Parks and Recreation Department
Attn: Erik Stadsvold
20120 E. Mainstreet, Parker, CO 80138
Receipts must be received no later than Nov. 3, 2017 so reimbursements can be processed and sent out by the first week in December. Once the receipt has been received, staff will contact the applicant to arrange a site inspection. If the planted tree(s) and paperwork meet all of the Town’s specifications, a reimbursement check will be authorized and mailed to the applicant in four to six weeks.
