Did you know interior designers are more likely to seek out the smaller home shops where the furnishings and accessories are a little more unique, over big box stores? Shop these Denver home stores to find distinctive home furnishings and accessories for every design style.  Locally grown Denver home stores have something for everyone’s style… You just have to know where to look!

If you like Pottery Barn or Restoration Hardware, then you’ll love HW Home.

If you find yourself shopping Pottery Barn or Restoration Hardware, you might lean toward a more traditional design style. But while some may consider traditional to be stodgy and boring, this is certainly not the case at HW Home (199 Clayton Lane, Denver; 5375 Landmark Place, Greenwood Village; and 1941 Pearl Street, Boulder). Think of refined, classic style but with an unexpected twist. The prices are not low, but these are quality investment pieces designed to make a statement.

If you like CB2, then you’ll love Mod Livin’.

If you love the clean, modern aesthetic of Crate and Barrel’s little sister store then you should check out Colorado’s Mod Livin’ (5327 E. Colfax Avenue, Denver). Mod Livin’ has been selling “affordable modern furnishings” since 2001. The store features three levels of furniture and home accessories, but the bonus is that this store also carries vintage mid-century classics. The “new” area of the shop showcases the Blu Dot, Gus, Modernica, and Ben Sen furniture lines and Pablo lighting.

If you like Anthropologie, then you’ll love Lulu’s Furniture & Decor or Rare Finds Warehouse.

If you like Anthropologie’s eclectic selection of home goods, then you will be enticed by the unique findings at both Lulu’s Furniture & Decor(2050 W. 30th Avenue, Denver) and Rare Finds Warehouse (6500 E. Stapleton Drive, Denver).

Located in LoHi, Lulu’s Furniture & Decor is a mother-and-daughter-owned shop and design studio. You will find a mix of home accessories and fantastic gifts, including the works of a lot of Denver and Colorado artists. Customers can also seek design assistance and order custom furniture with a huge selection of swatches to choose from.

Rare Finds Warehouse is a hidden gem even for Denver home stores scene, the secret weapon of many a local designer. Tucked away in an unassuming business plaza, you will not stumble across it unless you are seeking it out. Here you will find unusual and high-quality items from decorative accessories to lighting and furniture. The prices are not cheap, but are good buys for the quality. And, unlike at the popular chain store, here you will find one-of-a-kind furnishings and accessories.

If you like Pier One or Cost Plus World Market, then you’ll love T-Trove Asian Decor or DecorAsian Style.

Is your home style globally inspired? You will love the treasures you find at T-Trove Asian Decor (189 S. Broadway, Denver) and DecorAsian Style (1787 S. Broadway, Denver). These stores are where you shop when, rather than decorate, you want to carefully curate your home. Large, brightly colored glazed pottery lines the T-Trove parking lot, inviting would-be customers to take a tour of the 10,000-square-foot showroom. Inside you will find home furnishings, art, accessories, and garden and outdoor living, all sourced from Japan, Taiwan, and China, as well as other countries. With a 13,000-square-foot showroom, DecorAsian has two stories of furnishings and accessories — antiques and reproductions, both functional and decorative — sourced from Europe, Asia and Africa.
